Bermudian Springs SD makes student health a focus

The whole Bermudian Springs SD community is enjoying the new cardio room recently installed at the high school. District maintenance staff converted a large athletic storage room to accommodate advanced exercise equipment including treadmills, elliptical machines, exercise bikes, a rowing machine, a Traverse machine, and a Zero Runner, which provides impact-free running. Students in physical education classes and student-athletes use the equipment during the school day, and faculty and staff can access it for personal use after school and during the summer. The district hopes to make the room available to the community in the near future through its adult education program. The project was funded by several sources, including a $25,000 Partnership for Better Health Grant.
