Senior-Senior Prom brings generations together

Boyertown Area SD found a unique way to bring different ages together for a fun celebration. Seniors from the school’s National Honor Society chapter organize an annual Senior-Senior Prom, a dance for senior citizens that is held at a local community center. The 40 students involved this year volunteered to plan, decorate and run the dance, which had a tropical theme, and took turns dancing with the senior citizens. About 80 members of the community attended. To help break the ice, the senior citizens are given a questionnaire asking about their first memories or where they went to high school.
