Camp Hill celebrates a national win in academic competition
Camp Hill High School is celebrating a first-place win at the national Quiz Bowl championship in Rosemont, IL. The team took home top honors in the Very Small School category for those with 300 or fewer students enrolled and third place in the Small School category for those schools with 500 or fewer students. The competition, which involved answering trivia questions in a variety of fields, included teams of students from grades 8 through 12. According to an article on PennLive.com, the team attributes their success to teamwork, preparation and communication, among other things. To prepare, each member mastered a particular category such as history, geography or fine arts by studying long before the tournament. The team is coached by Camp Hill High School social studies teacher Andrew Gianelli.
