Colonial Instructional Television (CITV) students from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) recently visited the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field. There, the students explored different aspects of television production for Fox Sports and Lincoln Financial Field’s in-venue production facility leading up to the Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys game.

The group met Fox Sports director Rich Russo, Broadcasting Hall of Famer and Audio Production Specialist Fred Aldous, former NFL Referee turned in-game Color Analyst Mike Pereira and Fox Sideline Reporter Erin Andrews, as they toured the three production trucks where the live Fox Sports programs are produced and broadcast around the country. At the in-venue production facility of Lincoln Financial Field, the students also had the opportunity to speak with Executive Producer Kelly Rafferty.

“We were even able to walk out onto the field where we saw Eagles players practicing for the upcoming game,” said PWHS Sophomore Nick Cruz. “It truly was an amazing experience where everyone learned so much.”

The CITV students hope to bring back all they learned and apply it to future productions in the Mass Media production studios at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
