Ellwood City Student gets U.S. Air Force Academy Appointment

Kyle Smith, a graduating senior at Lincoln Junior Senior High School in Ellwood City (Lawrence Co.) was appointed and accepted into the United States Air Force Academy. He is the first student to ever receive that honor from Ellwood City. “This is a rather prestigious honor and reflects very favorably on both Kyle and the educational program at Lincoln High School,” said Richard J. Conwell, deputy liaison officer. Smith received his official USAFA appointment at at LHS’s award assembly on Wednesday, May 23.
