Matt Donatelli, local beekeeper talks with Wyatt Price, Kadence Miller and Sahara Russell about his career.

Students in grades 6-8 participated in a career exploration event. All students were exposed to a variety of career options and pertinent information said Principal Laurie Criswell. Students had the opportunity to interact with an area bee keeper, aircraft mechanic, financial coach, family physician, and so many more business persons. The variety in career education helps students to link traditional and non traditional careers to the workplace. Guests focused on explaining connections between training programs and job opportunities in the area and beyond.
As part of the Everett MS’s Chapter 339 requirements, students are exposed and educated on many career options available to them. These middle school students are able to interview each professional about the education necessary for that particular career choice, as well as the salary range and daily duties. The information gathered is used for the individual student career portfolio development constructed with the middle school counselor.
