Students honor, learn about veterans at annual breakfast

For almost 20 years East Side Elementary has held an annual Veterans Day Breakfast for all local veterans. Breakfast is served to the veterans and they are each given a token of our appreciation by our students. The fifth-grade students are required to write a short essay to each veteran. Our students present short skits that our teachers create about certain military themes and guest speakers are involved as well.
