Hempfield middle school student leaders present video, ‘I Am the Majority’

Centerville Middle School students have been working to develop leadership skills, celebrate successes and address concerns. The 7th Grade Student Leadership Group delivered a presentation to the entire seventh grade celebrating diversity and presenting ideas to improve the ways students speak to each other. The students created a video, “I am the Majority” highlighting the way most seventh graders at the school act, feel and speak to each other. Student leaders include: Angie Diaz, India Deck, Mareliz Gonzalez-Rivera, Anna Granger, Annie Keitel, Gianna Hoover, Owen Lapp, Tayten Smolinsky, Sariah Rivera, Romi Schmid, and Parker Wolfe. Staff working with students includes school counselors Nate Milton and Kasey Tobias, Principal Lisa Mumma and Assistant Principal Ian Daecher.
