High school literary arts magazine wins national award

Fox Chapel Area High School’s 2017-2018 literary arts magazine “Tapestry” received a national award.  The magazine was named a first-place winner in the magazine portion of the 2018 American Scholastic Press Association’s Annual Review and Contest Awards for scholastic yearbooks, magazines, and other publications.

The 2017-2018 student editors of “Tapestry” were 2018 graduates Karissa Becer, Emelyn Broniek, Sally Dean, Annamaria Fort, Anna Hirsch, Shania Khatri, Philip Kim, Elizabeth Mountz, and Helen Paulini (editor-in-chief); current 2018-2019 seniors Noah Fritsch, Arnav Gupta, Emma Kazmierczak, Alyssa Melani, Demi Rymer, Chloe Yofan, and Seo Yeon “Christina” Wang; and current 2018-2019 juniors Claire Cummings and Emma Lusk.  The students’ advisor is Fox Chapel Area High School English teacher Jessica Green.
