Forty-four Midd-West High School (MWHS) students who are members of DECA, an international association of marketing students and professionals, participated in the 66th Annual State Career Development Conference in Hershey in February. As part of the event, more than 2,000 students from across PA competed in several different categories such as hotel management, finance, retail merchandising, international business and others.

According to an article on the district’s website, Brenden Hood and Owen Kelley, both juniors at MWHS, won a fourth-place trophy in the Financial Services Team Decision Making event and will represent Pennsylvania DECA at the International DECA Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA, in April.

Other State Conference winners were: Laura Hartley and Colby Kreider, both Seniors at MWHS, won a second-place trophy in the School-Based Enterprise event.
