Students benefit from district and farm partnership

Kindergarten and second-grade students at Grandview Elementary School enjoyed hands-on science activities in the spring during the Life Cycle of a Chick Program. Snipes Farm and Education Center in Morrisville, PA, partnered with the school to donate materials, including eggs that the children observed during incubation and hatching. After the completion of the science unit, the chicks were returned to the farm after hatching and the students visited them there on a field trip in May. Students at Morrisville High School also visit Snipes Farm for a summer learning experience in nutrition and agriculture. While there, students got up close with a number of farm animals while learning about the sustainable farming process. Read more in this article in the Bucks County Courier Times.
