Oley Valley schools join forces for a good cause

On Dec. 23, 2016, students and staff from Oley Valley Middle and High schools joined forces to raise money for the One Wish Foundation. According to the organization’s website, “The One Wish Foundation provides children with life-altering medical or social conditions the opportunity to experience a once in a lifetime outdoor adventure.” To raise the funds, students and staff participated in the Second Annual Kan Jam Tournament. More than 145 teams participated in the event, garnering more than $1,600 for the One Wish Foundation. The four winners of the tournament each received their own Kan Jam set – a disc game – as a prize. Jerrod Renninger, president of the One Wish Foundation, accepted the donation and thanked the schools for their kindness.
