Veterans honored in Oley Valley Middle School assembly

On Friday, November 9, 2018, the Middle School held its annual Veterans Day assembly. Staff and students recognized more than 30 veterans in a ceremony that included the select choir singing the national anthem, performances by the orchestra ensemble and the sixth-grade band, and the reading of the top three essays of the contest sponsored by the Oley American Legion Post 878. The essay contest winner was Nigel Patches. Thank you, veterans, for your service and we appreciate this opportunity to pay tribute to them!
