In-school credit union branch teaches real-time financial literacy

To continue its investment in Greater Reading and Berks County, Visions Federal Credit Union opened an in-school branch at Reading High School in Fall 2016 and held an official grand opening with Visions CEO Tyrone Muse and ESPN basketball analyst Jay Williams in May 2017.  RHS represents the company’s fourth in-school branch, which provides financial literacy, finance options for students and staff, and an internship opportunity for students interested in the financial services industry. The branch, located near the school’s Senior Cafeteria, is open three days a week during lunchtime hours. In addition, the company, along with the Pennsylvania Credit Union Association and surrounding credit unions, hosts the annual Financial Reality Fair each January for all RHS seniors, who learn about financial topics like budgeting, savings accounts and college loans.
