TJ3D Printing Club receives $5,000 donation to support sales demand

The TJ3D Club at Jefferson Hills Intermediate School received a check from Allstate Insurance in the amount of $5,000 to help support their mission of learning digital design software and fabricating student creations using 3D printers. As news about the student club has spread, the demand for its student-made creations has greatly increased!

The $5,000 from Allstate Insurance and local agent Blair Bogdan will be used to begin construction on a 3D printing station that will house 8 to 10 printers in a hallway manufacturing center. Each printer will be controlled remotely and will be outfitted with a camera so students can access these devices through the network and visually observe what they are making. These printers will allow the TJ3D Club to increase production of student designs to meet the sales demand, and will also provide additional opportunities for students to use the printers to fabricate their own unique creations and designs!
