TSA State Conference Pequea Valley Intermediate School

From April 18-21, PVIS Technology Student Association (TSA) members competed in the PA TSA State Conference. It was the 40th anniversary of TSA, and the conference was held at Seven Springs Mountain Resort. Nearly 2,000 student were in attendance, making it the biggest PA TSA State conference ever. But this did not intimidate our chapter. Competing were the following: Andy Jaramillo (president), Ethan Smucker (secretary), Tyler Zook (sergeant-at-arms), Max Feeser (treasurer), Matt Donkewicz (reporter), Peyton Temple (vice-president), Cassady Foote, Alex Kauffman
Participants in the Chapter Team event fought their way to second place. Ethan Smucker single-handedly won a 1st place with his segmented vase for the Materials Processing event, which is a first ever 1st place event while I have been advising. And the whole Chapter Team competed in a Construction Challenge event and earned a 6th place for their hand-crafted podium, which will be donated to the FCA Bible Study at school. Although not placing in the top ten, Cassady and Alex both worked hard and were flexible during the conference, helping team members on events when needed.
Furthermore, the whole chapter demonstrated proper behavior, good work ethic, punctuality, and collaboration. They also had to work on their time management skills and juggle all of the things going on and still make their individual events, as well as team events.
