Academic All Stars

Ten students from United Senior High School competed in this year’s Quiz Bowl Competition. Five Junior Varsity members and Five Varsity members competed in this bowl game of academic competition. Students are required to answer a number of questions in the areas of Literature, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Music, and more in order to earn points. Each host school sponsors a problem-solving event. The Varsity and Junior Varsity teams earn points in game show-style competition.
Quiz Bowl competitions require students to know a variety of subject areas, and they must buzz in quickly in order to beat their competitors. This level of academic competition is not for the weak. You have to know your stuff, and you have to be quick and accurate. Congratulations to this year’s Quiz Bowl members on a great season!
