Excellence equity: Supporting African-American and black students

School District of Upper Dublin  |  Posted on

At Upper Dublin High School and Sandy Run Middle School Connections, our African-American and black students get together regularly during the school day. Connections is a districtwide program focused on connecting, supporting and preparing students for success. It is a safe place to belong and build a sense of community with peers, volunteers and teachers. It gives our students the opportunity to share thoughts, opinions, concerns and ideas without judgment, and a forum to learn non-academic life skills in a casual social setting with guest speakers and interactive activities.
