McClellan Elementary Fifth Graders McClellan Elementary fifth-graders put together blessing bags for the homeless as part of a PTA service project. Organized by Fifth-Grade Committee parents Gayle Manculich and Michelle Danielson, the fifth-graders led the way and enlisted the help of the entire school by collecting blankets, toiletries and snack items for the blessing bags. Each grade level was assigned a set of items to donate. One student even asked friends and family members to purchase blessing bag supplies in lieu of gifts for her birthday! After all the donations poured in, the fifth-graders got together at the Pleasant Hills Borough Building on February 2, 2018, for a pizza party and to assemble their bags. Students made 200 blessing bags along with special handmade cards which will be distributed to organizations serving the homeless and homeless shelters.
