Gill Hall elementary honor, learn about Sept. 11, 2001

Gill Hall Elementary School learned about the events of September 11 with an outdoor commemoration service on Sept. 11, 2017. Students and staff dressed in red, white and blue gathered around the flagpole to recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing “My Country, ‘Tis of Thee” and other patriotic songs. Teachers discussed the September 11 attacks with age-appropriate lessons to help students understand the shock, sadness and heroism that took place on this day in 2001.
