Second-graders publish personal narratives

Second Graders at McClellan Elementary School just completed their first unit of study in writing and learned all about personal narratives. Over the course of several weeks,  students drafted, edited and revised several stories about real events that happened in their lives. Then students picked their favorite story and turned it into a mini-book complete with illustrations, book title and cover page. Teacher Mrs. Farison and her young authors visited other students in the building to share their books and read their stories aloud. It is a wonderful way to showcase the second graders’ work and celebrate their successful writing efforts!
