Baldwin High School students study in the new Think Tank.

Baldwin High School has transformed its library classroom into a collaborative Think Tank room with whiteboard walls. Mrs. Schulte and Mr. Cotter’s freshman English class unveiled the newly finished Think Tank room in March. They viewed artwork and photographs related to ideas in a book they read then wrote their reactions to the images on the whiteboard walls for classmates to view and comment on throughout the period. Then, the students sat in the room and used the written comments surrounding them on the walls to create a word cloud focused on the ideas of human dignity, which relates both to the book they read and the month’s theme of inclusion and the Spread the Word to End the Word Campaign that seeks to end the use of the R-word for differently abled students.
