Conshohocken Elementary School students unveiled their new Imagination Playground in December. The innovative play system that encourages creativity, communication and collaboration was donated by long-time school benefactor Morgan Stanley and the national non-profit KaBOOM! The Imagination Playground is a collection of custom-designed, oversized, interconnecting blue foam shapes that children can use to build items and play spaces from their imagination. “You get to build anything you want, like a boat or a train or a house,” said Vincent, a CE second grader. “They don’t actually move with engines and stuff, but it’s still fun.” In addition to offering it as a play option during recess, the school is also planning to integrate the set across different disciplines. “Conshohocken Elementary is so appreciative of the Imagination Playground set that we received from Morgan Stanley,” Principal Terese Boegly said. “The reveal event offered a snapshot of just how imaginative and curious the children are. We certainly want to foster these traits in our children at school.”
