Students invent devices for NASA consideration

What’s a good way for an astronaut to free up his hands while working in zero gravity? Velcro slippers, of course! It’s an idea from a group of Council Rock High School South students working on several projects they hope will be adopted by National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) one day. NASA is currently working to perfect a vibration isolation chamber (a device that would allow fertilized eggs to travel to the International Space Station without shattering) a concept previously submitted by Council Rock South students. The school’s technology club, advised by teacher Fred Bauer, has been part of the program since 2011.
