Student ranked nationally for customer service skills

image of Nicole EsolaEastern Center for the Arts and Technology student Nicole Esola was ranked 10th in the nation for customer service skills during the at the SkillsUSA National Competitions held in Louisville, KY. More than 6,000 students competed in 100 categories showcasing trade and business skills at the annual competition. The Customer Service competition involves live, role-playing situations. Contestants demonstrate their ability to perform customer service in both written and oral forms including telephone and computer skills, communications, problem solving, conflict resolution and business etiquette.

“I am extremely proud of how Nicole represented EASTERN and SkillsUSA District 2,” said Nicole Mohrey, EASTERN’s Commercial Art Instructor and SkillsUSA Advisor, in a recent press release. “This competition required Nicole to think on her feet and to maintain a professional composure throughout the scenario. She did an outstanding job and has exemplary customer service skills that I know will benefit her in college and throughout her career.”
