Greater Latrobe’s team took second place in the competition with their “Make a Mess, Clean it Up” invention.

The Chain Reaction Contraption Contest is a competition for students in grades 9-12 and is one of the exciting National Engineers Week events.

Students are challenged to create a machine that will accomplish a specific task using a series of steps. The CRCC is sponsored by Westinghouse Electric Company, and presented in cooperation with the Carnegie Science Center. This year’s contest task was to Make a Mess and Clean It Up!

The 2019-20 CRCC was held on Tuesday December 10, 2019 at the Carnegie Science Center. Students demonstrated their machine and made their verbal presentation, and Greater Latrobe took second place in the competition!
