Discovery Character Education

In Halifax Area SD’s Discovery Character Education program, seeks to address the needs of the whole student — not just their academic side, but also their attitude. As part of Discovery, students engage in discussions and activities that help them develop good character, make better choices and act with responsibility and consideration. On “Maggie Mondays,” students are able to interact with a service dog that helps relieve students’ test anxiety and helps them develop social skills. The program was funded by a grant from the William Penn Foundation. Watch a video to learn more.
