Girls hear positive message at Leadership Academy event

Middle school girls in Hempfield SD had the opportunity to hear from women in leadership positions, including a local principal,  as part of a Young Womens’ Leadership Academy event. Topics included finding your passion, standing up for yourself and ways to be a leader every day. Presenters included Centerville Middle School Principal Lisa Mumma; Sully Pinos, chief of staff to state Rep. Kevin Schreiber (D-York); Janneke Schopman, a U.S. Women’s Field Hockey Coach and Olympic medalist; and Fran Rodriguez, a program officer for the  Lancaster County Community Foundation.
