Exploring financial literacy and the public sector at Hempfield High School

Rep. Lloyd Smucker visited Hempfield High School on Thursday, April 5, as part of the SIFMA Foundation’s 2018 Capitol Hill Challenge Stock Market Game. Students in the Hempfield High School business classes and FBLA Club asked insightful questions about tax reform, congressional map redistricting and Smucker’s schedule as a congressman. To the group, Rep. Smucker said that he has had the opportunity to visit many schools as part of his work on the Education Committee. Of Hempfield he said, “You really do have the opportunity for a world class education.”
