In September, 10 Hempfield High School German students traveled to Penn State University to attend a German Career Day organized by the Goethe Institute, New York. Students were selected based on their interest and grade level, with most students in German III or beyond. During the day, students attended sessions that included information on undergraduate studies in Germany, the importance of networking, and they also took first place in German Culture Trivia. The students showed great enthusiasm for continuing their German studies, some of whom plan to travel abroad to utilize their knowledge from this experience in contributing to our ever-growing global society.
