‘Super Wednesday’ provides super opportunities

Wednesday, October 11 was Super Wednesday at Hempfield High School. Students participated in grade-level activities organized by high school staff:
● Freshman students competed in the annual 9th Grade Olympics, where teams worked together on various relay activities that focused on PRIDE: Perseverance, Respect, Involvement, Discipline and Excellence.
● Sophomores participated in a career fair where various business professionals outlined post-secondary requirements for their career, as well as sharing what a typical day entails.
● Junior students participated in PSAT testing, which will help determine National Merit distinctions and scholarship opportunities.
● Seniors had the opportunity to observe a field they are interested in pursuing after graduation, attend a program or college of their choice, or learn about financial aid and scholarships.
