Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center and Juniata Valley Elementary School are entering into an exciting new science partnership for the 2018-19 school year! Shaver’s Creek educators will be providing hands-on, inquiry-based experiences focused on science and the environment both at Juniata Valley Elementary School and at Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center! During the school day, Kindergarten, first and second-grade students will participate in classroom visits this fall with Shaver’s Creek instructors before visiting Shaver’s Creek Environmental Center for field experiences in spring. Third, fourth and fifth-grade students will have opportunities to engage with Shaver’s Creek through the JV Science Club after school program in the fall and spring as well. The Science Partnership will be the main focus of this year’s Family Science Night Event on May 9, 2019.
