Spheros were used in Art, with ELL students, and Intro to Coding classes

Middletown Area School District was the recipient of a grant from Penn State Harrisburg CAIMS (Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science) which gifted the District with 24 robotic devices called Spheros. Spheros are mini robots in the shape of a sphere that can be programmed using an iPad app and are designed to engage students in coding activities. The Spheros have generated quite a bit of interest around the district and have been used at all grade levels and in various subjects. From English Language Learning, to art, to introductory coding, to trigonometry, the Spheros have been busy rolling their way between schools teaching various skills.
