Trojan Watch students aid at-risk students

The Trojan Watch program at McDowell High School uses data to identify students who are struggling in some way with school, and then provides resources and support to encourage those students to succeed. Students in the program are grouped in cohorts that attend English and social studies classes together from Grade 9 through senior year. The classes are smaller, designed to give students extra help when needed. Administrators say that graduation and attendance rates have improved among students who are in the program. Trojan Watch was funded by a grant from the William Penn Foundation. Watch a video to learn more.
