Northgate SD partnered with the Center of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh to bring the Brain Program to our high school students. The Brain Program featured a series of five interactive learning stations about the brain and nervous system, and what goes wrong with brain function in certain diseases. The stations were presented by faculty, postdoctoral trainees, and graduate and undergraduate students of the Center for Neuroscience of the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP). Student groups visited each the stations, met with neuroscientists and discussed the information they were learning. They also received handouts that covered the main ideas presented at each station, so they could review the material in class or at home at a later time.
