At Panther Valley Elementary School, everyone wants to be a Cool Cat. Part of the school’s Positive Behavior Support Program, a Cool Cat is a student who exemplifies these three character traits that are taught throughout the year: safe, responsible and respectful. Students are given Cool Cat tickets when they demonstrate behavior that shows one or more of these expectations. They can trade the tickets in for fun prizes. Each day, one student is selected as the Cool Cat of the Day by a staff member. This student has their picture taken with the principal and shared out on the school’s Facebook page. They also get a positive phone call home from the principal. Learn more about the program on the school’s website.
