Palmerton Area Junior High School team earns award for in “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” video competition

A team from Palmerton Area Junior High School brought home the Most Outstanding Educational Value award for their video in the “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing” competition. The contest required students to write, film and edit a video showcasing a local manufacturing company and its products.  The Palmerton Area team chose to highlight KME, a maker of custom firetrucks, located in Nesquehoning, PA. The two-minute video featured interviews with several employees from different parts of the company and footage of them working on different projects. Twenty-nine other schools from the Lehigh Valley, Northampton County and Carbon County also competed. Watch the video here.
