An elderly woman in the PV community didn’t have the financial means to replace her living room floor that was falling apart due to water damage. So four Pequea Valley students, members of the Interact Club, partnered with IMPACT (a Christian-based community service organization) to help this woman. On Saturday, Jan. 14, these 11th-graders, Danielle Byers, Joe Olonovich, Parth Patel and Devin Zhang, worked to rip out the old floor and replace it with a new plywood floor. They worked from 8 a.m. until lunchtime and replaced about 100 square feet of flooring. The elderly lady was thrilled with the completed job and the kids loved the experience! The Interact Club is a Rotary-sponsored community outreach club.
