Students in the upper elementary classes (grades 5 and 6) at Salisbury Elementary participated in a Career Week during the last week of school in December. Career speakers shared with learners about the perks and pitfalls of their jobs and what led them to their current positions. Speakers shared from a variety of backgrounds and levels of experience. Career fields represented included graphic design, audio engineering, chemical engineering, athletic training and nursing, among others. Learners also heard from an automotive technician, police officer, entrepreneur and technical account manager. Many of the speakers were Pequea Valley graduates, who were also able to share about their experiences and memories at PV.
