On Monday, November 6, 60 visitors from districts across the Commonwealth spent the day at Pequea Valley learning about their vision of Mass Customized Learning (MCL). The basic premise of MCL is tailoring instruction to meet each child’s needs and interests; shifting to a model where children learn by doing and by learning anytime, anywhere. The theme for the event, “Radically Learner Centered” focused on presentations given by elementary and secondary level learners. Groups traveled to Salisbury Elementary and the High School where learners shared their learning experiences, projects, first-choice and internship goals, and helped guests to understand why Mass Customized Learning is the best option for today’s kids.
