Mrs. Zanetti’s 6th grade Social Studies classes have been learning all about Ancient Egypt and civilizations. Students had the opportunity to virtually explore Ancient Egypt and bring their studies to life through the use of virtual reality goggles. The student’s virtual reality explorations are made possible by a generous grant from Burlington’s Adopt a Classroom program, which allowed the purchase of 30 pair of virtual reality goggles. The virtual reality experience uses satellite imagery from Google and will be used to enhance classroom lessons. Students may also use the goggles to explore on their own when they have completed their assignments and are caught up with class work.
