The Philadelphia arts in education partnership in collaboration with the Scranton School District, NEIU 19 and West Chester University is a recipient of $2.4 million grant for advancing arts integration in mathematics, science and English language arts. The arts link grant will be implemented in four elementary schools in grades two through five. The grant provides two arts education teachers to work with each classroom teacher to successfully integrate arts in the classroom. The goal is to improve student performance in academic areas and provide professional learning to teachers in order to sustain the arts integration strategies over time.
