South Fayette Girls Cross Country Team is Back to Back WPIAL AA Champions

During the 2017-18 and 2018-19 school years, the South Fayette Township High School Girls’ Cross Country Team was back-to-back WPIAL AA Champions. In the most recent race including a total of 206 competitors at California University of Pennsylvania, the team scored 55 points against the competition.  The team had all five of their scoring runners in the top 20 overall. South Fayette also had the two fastest freshmen in the race, Gabby Baiano who was 7th overall and Lauren Iagnemma who was 8th overall.

The team shows great determination, character, and promise as they have competed against some of the areas top athletes. They will compete in the PIAA State Cross Country Championship in Hershey on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018.
