District honors military families at community event

Mothers of fallen military members were honored at Central Dauphin’s fourth annual event, Gold Star Moms. At the popular game against football rivals the Cumberland Valley Eagles, the Central Dauphin High Rams recognized more than a dozen mothers in a ceremony during halftime. Players from Rams were designated to be called by the names of the fallen military members throughout the evening to pay tribute to their service. In an ABC27.com article about the special event, both players and participating moms expressed gratitude for the experience. The district plans to hold the event again next fall.
