Sophomore Interview Project

South Side Area SD’s PASS (Preparing All Students for Success) program is designed to help students succeed in school and beyond. Activities that are part of this program include monthly advisor meetings with faculty, student-generated portfolio creation, self-improvement and character education activities, PSAT testing, job shadowing, college visits, campus volunteerism, the senior project, and more. One unique aspect is the Sophomore Interview Project, begun in 1993, which pairs local professionals with students for interviews. Students have the opportunity to identify areas of career interest and also areas of strength and weakness in their oral communication skills. Together, these events help prepare students for success in higher education and the workforce.
