Students learn to pilot drones

As part of Drone Day activities in May, North-Penn Liberty High School students, led by Mrs. Sember and Mrs. Murray, taught elementary students and teachers at Liberty Elementary School and Blossburg Elementary School how to pilot drones. Each grade level got to participate in a 45-minute session that taught basic controls through advanced moves. At the end of each session, students got to sign their names that they were officially trained drone pilots. The highlight of the day was seeing and getting to operate the larger drone on the upper soccer field. Read more about the great things going on in Southern Tioga SD on the district’s Facebook page.
