Students win MIT app challenge

Madison Maynard and Cassidy Everett of Cochranton High School chose the focused problem of bullying and came up with the idea for their app, HowToHandleYourBully. Users of the app answer questions and the app tells them what type of bullying situation they are involved in and recommends action and resources to deal with the bully.
Their app won Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) 2019 Youth Mobile Power App Challenge and the opportunity to visit MIT’s campus this summer.
