United SD Challenge Program rewards excellence

Several United SD students were successful Challenge Program recipients during the 2015-16 school year. The Challenge Program is open to all students in grades 10-12. Through the program, students are introduced to career opportunities in their community and learn the behaviors, attitudes, and habits required to excel in the workforce. Participants are eligible to compete for $200 financial incentives in five award categories:
• Attendance
• STEM
• Community Service
• Academic Improvement
• Academic Excellence
These categories are important to employers as companies are interested in people who demonstrate these qualities: those who show up every day, do their best, find ways to improve, and get involved in their communities.
