McClellan-PJ-drive-winnerMcClellan Elementary once again participated in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive this holiday season. During the first two weeks of December, students brought in new pajamas for families in need. For every pair of pajamas donated through the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive, Scholastic Book Clubs donates a brand-new book to Pajama Program kids. The pajama drive is organized in partnership with Pajama Program, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting a comforting bedtime routine for children affected by instability in order to help them thrive. This year, McClellan students donated 169 pairs of pajamas, with the top donating class bringing in 25 pairs. On Friday, Dec. 14, Mrs. Fazekas’ first-grade classroom earned the right to wear their own comfy pajamas to school as a special reward for donating the most pairs of pajamas to support this wonderful outreach program.
