cookies for meals on wheelsThe holidays just got a lot sweeter for area Meals on Wheels recipients! PHMS Family Consumer Science Teacher Mrs. McCauley and a few of her students donated their time and talents to baking cookies for LifeSpan’s “Sweet Holiday Wishes” Cookie Campaign. Mrs. McCauley’s students baked 12 dozen chocolate chip cookies and enlisted additional students and staff to bake cookies to help brighten the holidays for senior community members. Representatives from LifeSpan visited the middle school on Dec. 13, 2018, to pick up all of the cookie donations and present students with a special certificate of appreciation. LifeSpan, which provides much-needed resources and services for seniors, will distribute ½ dozen cookies to each senior with their Meals on Wheels delivery.
